The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina offers five plays each theatrical season in our 349-seat main stage Elizabeth Wallace Theater, including musicals and comedies. Every aspect of our performances, including the excellent directing, first-rate production design, and top-tier progressional actors, many of whom have performed on Broadway, is produced in-house, from inception to curtain call.
Great Performances
We highlight top-notch presenting acts throughout the season in addition to our Theater Series. There is something for everyone in these 1, 2, and 3-night runs of well-known performers, including jazz musicians, comedians, modern music artists, illusionists, international dance groups, and more!
Community Festivals
The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina is big on community outreach programs. There are free outdoor festivals and concerts to enjoy. Some include Community Tree Lighting, Taste of Gullah, and Youth Arts Fest. Each of these events involves both regional and international performers on the grounds of the Arts Center.

Being a Kennedy Center Partner-in-Education gives The Arts Center great pride. These programs create distinctive youth and adult learning experiences on-site, at schools, and in the surrounding area.
Visual Arts
We are happy to host year-round exhibitions of young people’s and instructional artwork in the Wood Community Room. The Arts Center also collaborates with the Art League of Hilton Head to exhibit artwork from over 100 local artists in our Walter Greer Gallery.
