Coastal Discovery Museum Website

Company Description:

The Coastal Discovery Museum, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, is one of the most memorable destinations on Hilton Head Island. This is place to go to gain a better understanding of the Lowcountry’s cultural heritage and history, its ecology, and its residents, both past and present.

Explore natural history and cultural heritage on the 68-acre Honey Horn property. The Museum’s trails, historic buildings, gardens, live oaks, butterfly enclosure, and horses are just a few of the fun experiences you will encounter during your visit.

There is no charge to just stop in to view their displays and walk the grounds. You can also sign up for numerous year-around history and ecology tours, and programs that are fun and educational for the whole family.

The museum is open year around on Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
