The Hilton Head Island Recreation Association is a non-profit organization providing public recreation programs, wellness activities, and special events for youth, adults and seniors.

During the summer months, they sponsor the Tuesday night Summer Jams, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Shelter Cove Community Park. Fun family games and demonstrations are organized with the highlight of the evening being the fireworks display over Shelter Cove Harbour. Concessions are sold, so bring the gang out for dinner and a show.

The SHARE Center is a division of the Island Recreation Association and is dedicated to providing all adults with quality educational, recreational, and social activities. SHARE offers a variety of regularly scheduled activities and recreational options for seniors
